although a new compilation should pay dues to the artists i'm glad it's out. as out of these the only ones I rate HIGHLY are the PHASE & RHYTHM songs. HYPERACTIVE actually, jumps to the top of my wants list...
HEARTBREAK BROS is cack, now i got a proper listen. REMIX of LIVE is very nice....
mostly mediocre tho.
This is one of my current pursuits. I take it that it was a UK release. Never gonna find one over here.Quote:

that first K9 Posse is anything but lame - there's some serious heat on there - 'No Sell Out' especially. Lame definitely describes their second LP though.
Nice find Stilts....big fan of Nirvana. Strange thing with the scanned cover. Vertigo LP's go for crazy amounts these days.Quote:

I 2nd or 3rd this: th e1st LP is a seriously nice LP... please don't let the stupid cover, the mainstream record label, bobcat, or the fact that eddie murphy's brother is in the crew put you off... even the lead singles AINT NUTHIN TO IT and THIS BEAT IS MILITARY are very very good.
Is No Sellout the last on the LP - that's a good track.
Eddie Murphy's brother??? Another fact I've learnt on DWG.
maybe the eddie murphy comment has to do with the stupid cycling hats ?Quote:

if im thinking of the same lp, will need to dig it out in a mo.

Nah, Charlie Murphy IS in the K9 Posse.
Have you never seen the Dave Chapelle Show??

Co-sign, very dope LP..!!Quote:
Dave:>K9 posse 1st LP is dope - agreed.
The track 'Somebody's Brother' on the K9 Posse is all about living in your big bro's shadow. Anyway, I'd go so far as to say, there isn't a single wack track on that LP, 'say who, say what' being the nearest. some of the others are stonkers!
Hey Del, don't diss the cycling hats....I wear them under my bike helmet (although I'd agree they do look pretty stupid :bigsmile:)Quote:

I'm surprised people on here didn't realise the Eddie Murphy connection....pretty sure Hip Hop Connection made a big deal of it when the LP dropped. I just recently got the LP.....couple of great tracks for me and one of them is on the b side of the This Beat Is Military 12" (Turn That Down)
sure this has been mentioned on other threads before yknow
(the eddie murphy bro thing )
yeah it may very well be common knowledge fellas,
i just wasnt up on it.
oh and sorry campag, but you know them cycling hats look lame, haha.
last person i saw rocking one was Guru and he looked 100% bent

I went to visit my mate today who was doing a local graf event and I cycled there. He's never seen me in cycling gear....his first comment to me regarding my cycling jersey was those colours are 'a bit fruity' :bigsmile: (and that's before I've shaved my legs!)Quote:

I'd look stylish and be respected if I was on the continent....over here I'm just a ponce and a hinderance to road users :cry:
true dat :tooth::tongue:
all seriousness, cycling safety gets props over here! :peace:
I need a helmet (no homo!) - was off road at the weekend and a big rock smashed my foot and took a couple of very large chips off the frame paintwork. Had the rock hit my head, I would have been in an air ambulance..
Trouble is - I've never liked wearing them. Make your head all sweaty :devil:
yeah true, but the k9 posse hat gonna do much saving if you take a tumble.Quote:
stilts:>true dat :tooth::tongue:

infact i think if i went over the town with one of them on the neds would try and throw a stick in the spokes to knock me off, haha

The beat for Ain't Nuthin to it is fucking great.
Never heard the whole LP - it must be a dollar bin job.
Yeah - picked up mine for £1Quote:

How come this Lp is dope and the same year, same label as CAT GOT YOUR TONGUE by it's producer BOBCAT? worst LP of 89?
