My Finland holiday finds:

Hip Hop was very thin on the ground and what I got was from a mate who sells from his house. The store Lifesaver is closing down and the stock seems to have been the same for a year. Lots of reasonably cheap funk, soul and breaks to be had though.

the label rep did it apparently to conceal where it was pressed?! sample clearance or unauthorised Biggie usuage I suspect.

Ah I see, so was Biggie's verse taken direct from a freestyle then? I'd heard a recording of him doing that verse on a radio show once but always figured that it had been intended for Think Big all along...
