The Roots Super-Fan Thread - What Rare Roots Vinyl/Tapes Have I Missed?

Alright People, Russ Rockwell got me thinking about this when he started the MMJBs thread the other day - I am a bit of a Roots Super Fan and think I have the majority of their vinyl releases and a fair few CDs, tapes and bootlegs but there is so much its tough to know what I have missed and what I should have high up on my Wants list.

I want to know about the obscure stuff I haven't got -Any show Vinyls, promo tapes, White Labels etc that I might have missed. I have copied in pics of a few of my favourites already in my collection below...

You probably know about this one already, but it's one of my favourites:

I love both the version that did make the album – and this pre-release version that got pulled for sampling The Beatles. Took me ages to find an OG copy, but it definitely does turn up (and there's a bootleg out there too). Thought's tribute to Kool G Rap's 'Men At Work'.

Distortion to Static remixes were always on my wants list up until this week (scored 2 copies!).

I've got a pretty large collection of Roots material - all the Talkin loud/Geffen promo's etc, but Thought @ Work is still on my wants list!

Got this - http://www.discogs.com/Roots-Japan-N...elease/2539015 - which is cool, but terrible sound quality..

This is also worth a listen: http://www.discogs.com/Roots-Rare-Sides/release/2265992

^^ Yep, I know about thought@work but don't think I have the original and hadn't clocked that it was different to the LP version! Will have to take a look/listen later when I get back from work. I love that track - another example of BT on top form.

I heard a rumour that "How I got Over" got a limited triple vinyl release - anyone get that? I need a copy if it exists!

Yep, that's very much on my Wants list - there are a few on discogs but not feeling the 30 price tag right now - how much did you get yours for? I got a few more of those early stickered/stamped promos of singles from Do You Want More. No pics on discogs for them though so will take some when I get home.

Not a great deal less than that (when the US to UK postage is factored in). We'll see if they're the real deal when they turn up..

Just found this on ebay, not in my collection and too pricey for me in this instance but one for future reference!

And here are two recent and decent free downloads that people may or may not have missed... The Wake Up Radio mixtape by J Period is in my opinion way better than the Wake Up LP - much less John Legend and a lot more Black Thought!
