Digging with my man Mr Fantastic at the Colston Hall Record Fair, Bristol yesterday and realising even though we are both in our mid forties and have been collecting ‘Hip Hop’ records since the early 80’s, there are still dope ‘Hip Hop’ 12’s out there (even in the Discogs era) that we both have never seen or heard of before!

Still gold to be had in the wild!

caught a bit of Radio 2 on Saturday night (no, I don't get out much these days - why do you ask?) and it was some hip hop doc marking 40 years since Rappers Delight. Was beginners stuff and pretty brief for the most part but they did play Rebel Without A Pause and holy shit that still sounds tremendous 30+ years later.

Likewise - digging with my dude Dr No and realising the exact same thing! We both recommended records to each other plus found things neither of us had heard of before.

Discussing the merits of shopping in aldi/lidl with a mate before we realised and had a laugh about how old we sounded.

Reducing my discogs cart from 23 to 14.

ALDI have best manuka honey, and not just because it's the cheapest.

Their chicken and duck wraps are second only to M&S, imho.

Duck wraps hmmm, wifey is asking what strength the manuka is, I'm clueless about pretty much anything health related.

+5 Manuka. It's the really runny kind rather than the type of Manuka that's thick like Nutella

The O.G mix of the song 2Pac recorded for Mike Tyson finally leaking. He recorded this for Tyson to use as his ring entrance against Bruce Seldon for THAT fight on THAT night:
