the worst attended DWG gathering yet... Toby, Pete and myself had a dig in Hackney, couple of beers in the Brewdog and finished up in Tayyabs - all in all a great day!

Jonny Cuba and Ollie Teeba attended the Pyke and had their own fringe gathering (sorry fellas)

Digging, Beer and Tayyabs is about as good a day out in London Town as you can have.

    Good work.

I'm drooling thinking about the grilled lamb chops now.

What shops did you go to?

Cosmos looks like it had new highly overpriced heat on display for Chrimbo.

Really sorry I couldn't make it - my daughter had a big tennis comp on that I had to be at!

    Glad you had good times.

We started at Eldica in Dalston, great little shop, recommend that for a visit next time you are down here. (Dalston market also has a good selection of offal and snails for sale, if that’s your thing).

After that we went to Love Vinyl; caught up with Jake (haven’t seen him for ages).

Then it was Cosmos – this all took a far longer than expected!

As far as pick ups, I got a couple of Dub albums (represses, but lets face it the originals are always trashed) some Hip Hop 12’s I already own (but now have the white label version of Supreme Nyborn's "What If I was Serious" to go with the green labelled one).

Some other random jazz pick ups; a “big band” style drum album (think Runaway slave beats) plus one expensive one from Cosmos.

With regards to Tayyabs I was absolutely looking forward to those very same "grilled lamb chops" but for some unbeknown reason, they weren't on the menu! Arggghhh! (what I had was still nice though) !

Wow, that’s a shame! Should have gone Needo Grill or Lahore instead!

    How’s Jake?

My favourite over there is Maedah's Grill, never had anything other than exceptional food there.....

Jake was good, pretty sure he said the Love Vinyl store has been going 4 years now, time flys!
