Stakes Is High - Original or Spinna Remix?

Now, for me it was always all about the Spinna remix. It takes everything that's good about the album version and adds an extra groove and vibe that makes it one of my favorite remixes from the second half of the 90's. For some reason I thought this was the commonly accepted truth until I recently realized a lot of people actually prefer the album version! What say you Diggers?

Was just thinking about posting a remix thread.

Spinna remixes in the 90’s where really good. Love the warm, spacey vibes.
The original for me though. Ahmad Jamal sample has a lot of depth & those bass notes are immense on a big sound system. (Played it on a 10k Opus rig many moons ago)

Shout out out to the Dela remix. Nice piano loops & head nod vibe.

Sorry I should have put "truth" within quotation marks but you get the idea. Of course it's not truth per se or I wouldn't make a poll

Let's just say, I thought this was a very commonly held view, shared by most fans of De La.

i don't know how you can read the mind of million of fans (most of them won't probably even know that remix)...the remix is very good and i prefer it but i won't say that the majority of the people prefer it just because i like it or because people i know like it.

Well I obviously can't, which is why I made the poll...

What i'm trying to say is that there's no wrong or right ..if you prefer the remix, cool ..if other people think differently , who cares..i don't understand why you need a confirmation of your own taste...and if the pool says the OG is better are you going to change your mind?

Think you are taking this far to seriously djmpfortyfive...

It's just a bit of banter about records & remixes.

I guess I'm being trolled haha...and no I won't change my mind since the "truth" is that the remix is far superior!
