JICO from Japan will most likely fill the void and keep the M44-7 Cartridge alive...

I have ordered direct from Jico and they are good, I bought a stylus for my listening deck that has an Shure Audiophile cart on it (cant remember which model Shure it is) I must admit I did like the sound of the Shure stylus over the Jico though, not that the Jico was bad but the Shure was better to my ears.
I got stung with the dreaded customs charges though so it was an expensive stylus.

^Those generic stylus replacements are garbage. I got some once and had to send it back because it sounded like ass. I got them off Amazon (sold as the real deal but not) and they looked exactly like that with the weird jetting out side thingy on the front so I recognize them anywhere. There is no comparable substitute for the real deal as far as I know.

managed to reserve myself 2 sets of carts and 2 sets of spare needles so should be ok for a while. I'll see if my supplier has more if anyone else needs a set.

apparently its just the headshells that the being phased out, not the needles...
