MC Solaar - Qui Seme Le Vent Recolte Le Tempo LP

Hi, I copped the 12"release with the Gangstarr, Kwanzaa Posse et La Funk Mob remixes on it. I didn't really pay much attention to MC Solaar at the time because his music is in the French language (obvs) and the voice would have just been another instrument, as I didn't speak French. This all came back to me yesterday, and as I loved the 12" so much, I thought I'd try to buy the first LP of the same title.

On Discogs the prices are seriously high. How come something on an international label like Polydor is priced as if it's scarce. Surely these were pressed in the millions?

Or is it worth £100+? Needless to say, I'm still curious and would buy a copy. Does anybody here like it? Would rate it?

^^ Not all major release stuff is pressed in the millions - if it started shifting serious units they would just press more as required. Also, depends how many appear on the 2nd hand market.

I had this LP once upon a time,no idea where it is might have traded it but more likely for a pound not a hundred.

I’m sure it was a UK press though.

I always liked the beats on the second LP, had a CD but I can’t deal with rap in a foreign language I don’t understand. It’s pointless

Thanks for replies. Yes, its not always correct to assume that if something comes out on a major label that it was pressed abundantly. It's a waiting game like all things, I'm sure I'll happen up it in the wilds for a better price than the Discogs gang want for copies.. I'll perhaps speak French fluently by then.
