Livin' Proof is better than the first and last Gang Starr albums.

90's era Gang Starr is hip-hop at its finest. What's funny is that each of the four albums is equally beloved for different reasons. I've always considered Hard to Earn to be the weakest of the bunch, but I've talked to a lot of people who consider that the best one.

Just listened to the new track. Beat is dope , and I like the hook
The j Cole verse pretty dope - those triplet flows are cool too . all in all a pretty solid track .

the list of feaures is better than I imagined. thought there would be a lot more overall, and a lot more "new" artists on there. Shame they didn't get Nas on there really.

Hoping that Q Tip track is as good as it should be.

Might seem sacrilegious but not interested in this at all. Will check the Q-Tip track....hopefully.

I’m going to listen to this regardless.
Talib decaf earl grey can ‘do one’ though.
MOP, Q-Tip, Big Shug & Freddie FOXXX make it look like a classic Gangstarr release.

It’s hard not to here premo producing on the songs I’ve heard so far.
It seems like the beats are made around the vocal hook/chorus & then cut & paste various other vocals to ‘fit’ the rest of the track.

I'm sure a couple of these will be decent enough despite what is essentially a mix tape of blends but the 'real hip hop' borks claiming it an instant 5 mic classic album before they have even heard it is already making me feel a bit sick.

Thinking about it I'm surprised Primo doesn't have a load of previously unreleased Gangstarr material he could release.
They were together for years, surely they must have had some tracks they recorded and scrapped that whilst might not have been considered good enough at the time would probably be better than these cobbled together 2019 efforts.
I accept what I have just written is pure speculation and wishful thinking.
