just finished watching the Art of Drumming on my hooky sky connection, which was decent enough, but didn't really need an episode 4, which was just a run down of the top 20 drummer's drummers.

anyway, amongst others, it had input with Bill Ward from Black Sabbath and Ian Paice from Deep Purple, who both consider themselves as jazz drummers who were both heavily influenced by Gene Krupa.

worth a watch if you're in to that sort of thing

My metal head friend HATES jazz. Totally blind to anything other than distain & malice towards it. I can't wait to share this information with him haha
