Blu Black - Bon Vi appreciation

I love this. Beat is butter, really good track, but also hella rare and expensive.
Thing is, I don't remember hearing it back in 95 so did it get played at all on mixtapes/radio etc and if not, how did people get put up on it? Was there a time it was sitting in Mr Bongos for 5.99?
I only discovered it when Cannes put a couple of things on a CD for me and added some other songs to fill up the disc.

Not seen it on Discogs for less than 100 and never in the UK unfortunately but at some point I'm gonna get fed up of seeing it on my Discogs email alerts and pull the trigger, which leads me to my next question: why hasn't it ever been bootlegged? or has it?

I remember hearing From Sun Up on a Fat City comp but never saw the 12” about at the time. Nearly bought one on eBay just the other day but it was only VG+ Or ‘Used’ as the seller had it listed as.

the beat is really nice, if it was used by a bigger artist it would be ranked up there with the best from that era imo.

Great record. Played it out a few times, when I live in Guildford.

Remember looking for a copy in Japan for Captain Spatula the Phatman, in ever record shop I went into (A LOT)
Was really hoping to find one.. They seemed to have everything but..

Grab the Cosmology EP by Unspoken Heard (Asheru and Blue Black) for the instrumental & slight variant.

    Cheap as chips.

I used to be out and about in Guildford a lot. I would have been amazed to be on a night out and have heard this!
    Where/when were you playing?

    With my man Jazz-t
Once a month on a Thursday for the hip hop night (constantly changing venues) plus the odd gig here and there.

Basically warm up DJ where I played what ever I liked. Lots of independent rap records & break to the beat stuff. My friend used to go on before me & play the maaaad rear breakz & obscurities. His record collection is out of this world.

ah ok, the Phylum nights? I went to a couple of those over the years, mainly if they had a decent live guest
