is it just me or is the forum running slower than usual the last couple of days?
it takes a grip of time to get the pages loaded up..
any of you notice this as well?

Yeah, it fluctuates, depending what time of day I'm on. I guess it's just depending how many people are logged into the same server that our forum database is held on.

One day, when we're rich, I'll invest in our own bespoke server!

Yeah, I have noticed it too. It's going very slow... It wasn't like that before.

I'm going to blame Rare Dave for this, even though it's not his fault.

I'm gonna accept the blame - after all I did employ these guys to undertake some important DWG server repairs....

It is always very slow on my PC (windows XP), which is very anoying
If it loads fast on a MAC, then the problem should not be related with the server/database.

I assume you develope the site on a MAC, right? Can there be some issues which can not bee seen on a MAC? that are only seen with a PC?

All the database stuff runs off a Linux server - it shouldn't matter whether you're on a Mac or a PC. You might notice things speed up and slow down at various times throughout the day.

Right now, it's running perfectly for me, for example.
