Yeah, it fluctuates, depending what time of day I'm on. I guess it's just depending how many people are logged into the same server that our forum database is held on.
One day, when we're rich, I'll invest in our own bespoke server!

just switched to a mac in school and it's loads faster again :bigsmile:
It is always very slow on my PC (windows XP), which is very anoying :cry:
If it loads fast on a MAC, then the problem should not be related with the server/database.
I assume you develope the site on a MAC, right? Can there be some issues which can not bee seen on a MAC? that are only seen with a PC?
All the database stuff runs off a Linux server - it shouldn't matter whether you're on a Mac or a PC. You might notice things speed up and slow down at various times throughout the day.
Right now, it's running perfectly for me, for example.
