Been trawling through some of the older NY threads and have got some great advice from you guys already for my trip on Saturday.

Going to be on a pretty tight time schedule for shopping, but as usual, wax, clothes and sneaks are top of the agenda!

Here are the places I've already got directions for :

    WAX

    TSL
    A1
    Gimme Gimme
    Good Records
    Big City

    SNEAKS & CLOTHES

    Dave's Quality Meat
    Flight Club x 3
    Dr Jays

Any other places I should be looking out for? Particularly on the Sneakers & Clothes front as I doubt the Mrs will let me go to more than 5 record shops! Looks like most of the decent stuff is in the East Village so anywhere there would be great....Does Yellow Rat Bastard still exist? I remember picking some nice stuff up there in 2005 but a mate said he thought it had closed down...

Don't go to Harlem or The Bronx or ride the subway at night and keep your money in your underwear

I think tsl closed up a few months ago.
For clothes, dr jay is kind of basic and crappy. I would suggest supreme and alife based on the other places you listed.

TSL was closed when i went in March...but that may have just been bad timing on my part (it *should* have been open when i was there according to the opening times...)

Thanks guys, Looks like I'm going to have empty pockets after this!

Really disappointed Sound Library has closed though, never got a chance to go in 2005 and so many people said it was great
