The Living Dead At Manchester Morgue (1974)

Saw this at the cinema last night. Didn't realise it's actually a Spanish-Italian movie with only a few scenes actually shot in England.

Got it this off Cinemageddon years ago. It’s pretty boring with some ok scenes and soundtrack if I remember right.

    The Irishman ( 2019)

Would definitely recommend watching this at the cinema to fully appreciate it rather than on Netflix. Long but not annoyingly so like Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Lotta reviews of this focus on how sombre a movie this is. That's true (especially the final third) but it's also consistently funny. The CGI deageing was a bit WTF initially but you quickly get used to it. Definitely works as a response to both Goodfellas and Casino.

    Anybody else seen it yet?

Irishman is OK - last 30 minutes are the best. Rest you saw in other Marty's.

Im not really into movies but caught two recently admittedly the hype around both releases played a part in me going, that and there is a new cinema 20 mins walk from my house.

I risked incel shootings to watch Joker, must admit Id never have watched this movie in a million years if not for the hype but thanks to the hype I saw a great movie.

Next up Blue Story. Once again I took my chances, not worried about incels this time but catching a bad one in the cross fire of rival gangs was the concern this time, luckily the audience made up of almost exclusively middle class looking uni students didnt cause a ruck at the mid-morning screening.
I was genuinely interested in seeing this movie as I enjoyed Top Boy very very much and Blue Story is also London gang related. Top Boy had the chance to play out subtlety over a number of episodes but this being a 1 hour 30 min movie was far more low-res and I didnt really get into it, it was OK but just OK at best. I guess the director wasn't aiming the movie at me (I heard that its aimed at the 16-25 year olds). The movies has a narration at times, like Goodfellas did but this narration is rapped, I thought was a really corny, once again maybe the movie isnt aimed at me.

Watched it the other day. Really great movie if you ask me, and the fact that it was rather long didn't bother me one bit. Didn't know that Action Bronson was into acting (if you can call it that)...
